Since 1993, the youth of our community have enthusiastically embraced a journey that empowers each of them to realize the need for positive change and growth within our community as well as promotes their own personal growth.
Each spring, 30 students are chosen from Hirschi, Wichita Falls High School, and Rider High School to make up the Youth Leadership class. The class is introduced to several leadership-building programs from February through April. The Youth Leadership program is offered at no cost to the students that are selected to go through. One hundred percent of the program is underwritten through the generous donations by local businesses and organizations.
If you or a student that you know would be interested in participating, please contact the College & Career Counselor at any of the three high schools. Students must be in 10th or 11th grade and be in good standing with their school. Contactusfor more information.
The LWF Board of Directors would love for you to stay connected with our organization and other Alumni. Most anyone who’s gone through the LWF program knows the impact it can have on you and the sense of pride you come away with for our wonderful community.
Participation in the alumni group is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged to continue the training, learning and more importantly, relationships built through participation in the Leadership Wichita Falls program.
